Scholarships

The Permanent Endowment is one of the largest providers of scholarships on Martha’s Vineyard.  In 2009, the Endowment awarded $124,500 to 54 Island students.  Approximately 42 percent of these awards supported high school seniors entering college and the balance helped students currently enrolled in college programs. 

Scholarships are awarded annually and range in amount from $500 to $5,000 depending upon each scholarship fund’s guidelines.  Awards are made for one year.  Students seeking continuing support must reapply.

Application materials are available under Forms and Resources on this website.  For the 2009-2010 academic year, applications must be postmarked by March 15, 2010.  Students are notified of the Board’s decisions by early June.
