The Permanent Endowment for Martha's Vineyard is the Island's community foundation dedicated to supporting public and nonprofit local organizations.
The Endowment's purpose is to put charitable contributions to work for the people of Martha's Vineyard by making grants that address community priorities, funding scholarships for Island students and building an endowment that will provide resources to enhance and preserve the quality of life on the Vineyard forever.
Since 1982, philanthropic investments managed by the Endowment are deployed to solve problems and seize opportunities within key areas of concern on island, including the environment, health and human services, eldercare, arts and culture, civic and community affairs, and many other areas of interest.
In joining the Permanent Endowment community, our donors, scholars, and grantees become crucial individual elements in a larger continuum of support, diversity, and knowledge focused on benefiting the island in perpetuity.
